The Big Lake Half Marathon

The Big Lake Half offers runners a scenic course along winding country roads around beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Starting on Letter S Road in Alton and finishing in front of ‘Shibley’s at the Pier’ in Alton Bay, this “lollipop” loop course provides spectacular views of forests, quaint cottages, and the White Mountains.
There are five water stops along the course, two of which will also have Gatorade and one will have energy gel! We know that sometimes nature calls at the when it’s least convenient, that’s why we’ve put portable toilets near the corner of Route 11 and Route 11D around Mile 6.
The course is USATF Certified at 13.10938 miles.
