Saturday dawned with a big list of things to do (all accomplished by the way). I need the list to get things done. I’ve learned that when I have a list when I go to bed the night before everything gets done.
- Hike with Winnie
- 4 Mile run (because it was the plan)
- Out of the Darkness Benefit Walk with Jeff & Winnie
- Lunch with Mom & Dad (we love the Common Man)
- Plan for Sunday’s hike
- Work outing at Mel’s
I’m pooped and reading to head north tomorrow for a great hike in finally cool temps. High for tomorrow: 65!
Winnie did great on the hike to South Hancock. There were several stream crossing and a few times she had to lay in the river to cool down. The trail was magnificent and a nice hike until the last mile to South Hancock when it was a good climb.
Thursday, May 24 Kendra and I took our dogs on the most beautiful hike at the Merrimack River Outdoor Education & Conservation Area on Portsmouth St in Concord. The mosquitos were awful but the hike was fantastic. We saw so many kids and dogs on our hike and no one (but me) seemed to be bothered by the bugs.
It’s a flat, tree-filled hike and I highly recommend it.
Daily Stats (May 24):
I have a little bit of temperature requirement to go out on my bike – 60 degrees. Today was just about 60 around 1 p.m. so during my lunch break I went for a ride.
Beautiful, green landscapes everywhere!
This morning Winnie and I hiked on the Marjorie Swope Park Trail and it is glorious. All the trees are budding and there is still a big of a stream on the Carter Hill connector trail to West End for Winnie to take a drink. Later that day I pulled a tick out of ear – the times we live in. #ifeellikethereareticksonme
